As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen Syria’s national health system, WATAN, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health – Blood Banks General Corporation, will hold the National Workshop on Updating the Blood Bank Guidelines and Strengthening Digital Management Systems on Monday, 3 November 2025, in Damascus – Mezzeh.
The workshop will bring together experts, technical staff, and representatives from national health institutions and humanitarian organizations to discuss the development of the national guideline, the emergency procedures manual, and the donor management system. Participants will also review the new digital system for blood bank management and contribute to defining a national roadmap for blood services in Syria.
This event will mark a new milestone in WATAN’s continued commitment to improving the quality and efficiency of health services and supporting the modernization of community blood banks across the country.
By promoting collaboration between public health institutions and humanitarian partners, the workshop aims to enhance the organization, safety, and digital transformation of blood management systems in Syria — ensuring more reliable and effective services for donors and patients alike.
