WATAN and the Homs Chamber of Commerce Conclude Specialised Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Tools for Business Development

Homs, Syria – In a continued effort to strengthen institutional capacity and advance digital readiness across Syria’s economic sector, WATAN, in cooperation with the Homs Chamber of Commerce, successfully concluded a specialised training workshop titled “Using Artificial Intelligence Tools in Business Development.”

The workshop brought together staff and administrative teams from the Chamber for an intensive and highly practical introduction to emerging AI technologies. Delivered by field experts, the training offered participants a clear and structured understanding of generative artificial intelligence, large language models, and the fast-evolving landscape of digital tools now shaping modern business practices.

Across several focused sessions, participants engaged in hands-on exercises exploring prompt engineering, reasoning chains, output refinement, and the customisation of intelligent assistants to support daily tasks in management, analysis, and decision-making. The programme emphasised practical applications and aimed to equip attendees with usable skills that can be directly applied within their institutions.

Speaking following the workshop, WATAN representatives highlighted the initiative as part of a broader national effort to support Syrian institutions in navigating the transition towards digital transformation, noting that effective use of AI tools has the potential to improve efficiency, strengthen organisational performance, and enhance the quality of services provided to communities.
